I put some poly bushings in my control arms 18months ago, but I don't see how those (which are just supposed to move up and down) could be causing a squeak while steering. What other parts involved with steering could be causing the squeak? It's really hard to pinpoint, but it seems to be coming from the passenger wheel area. Tomorrow ill check my fluid levels again, and tighten the belt. Now the belt squeaks, and the steering wheel will refuse to turn at times. I ordered a new tie rod online and installed it yesterday. Today, I loosened the power steering accessory belt (which is basically brand new) a little, until I could deflect it about 1/4 of an inch. Neither of them were the culprit, so I assumed it was my tie-rod. Place a large prybar (think 3 ft crowbar) under the tire and rapidly pry the tire up.
